Version v4 (self_hosting_installation) does not work

Hi All,

ASTPP v4 self hosting version does not work.

It gives a lot of https, mysql and other errors when installing and after installation, https interface is not available.
It has the following message:

An Error Was Encountered
Class ‘CI_Controller’ not found

Enterprise support level is 0!
It is useless exchange and waste of time!

Thanks.

It’s depends on what flavour you are using if CentOS then install developer tools Before installing Astpp in your self hosting Server

Not concerned. I use centos 7 and your public version gives the same error: https://raw.githubusercontent.com/iNextrix/ASTPP/v4.0.1/install.sh -O install.sh

So that is something general.
Thanks.

Fir run the command and install developer tools then run sctipt

Hello,
It seems mysql service is not installing correctly. You should be observing erroneous logs while installation, observing them you should be able to get the hint.

Yes, there is a an error I saw during a test install on Debian 9.

The error seems to be in your script (4.0.2)

Do you all even test these things before releasing? Now besides version 5 not functioning, there is major issue with 4.0.2.

It seems the URL has changed. Looks like the Debian one can now be found at

https://dev.mysql.com/get/Downloads/Connector-ODBC/8.0/mysql-connector-odbc-8.0.15-linux-debian9-x86-64bit.tar.gz

I am sure the CentOS one will have a similar URL.

Hello @KNERD
Yes, we do. Keep calm and enjoy the free opensource!
@Genia The mysql package related concern was there from their side; you may download the latest installation script, its resolved.

You mean 4.0.2, or 5?

If you mean 4.0.2, then no.

https://raw.githubusercontent.com/iNextrix/ASTPP/v4.0.2/install.sh

Not sure why you just don’t avoid problem like that and just switch over to Maria DB which is available in CentOS 7 and Debian 10

As for testing, I do not believe that. I was handed a script for version which clearly was not tested. It is for Debian 10. So far , I have run into two problems in it,

Error: COMMAND_FAILED: ‘/usr/sbin/iptables-restore -w -n’ failed: iptables-restore v1.8.2 (nf_tables):
line 4: RULE_REPLACE failed (No such file or directory): rule in chain INPUT
line 4: RULE_REPLACE failed (No such file or directory): rule in chain OUTPUT

It seems they failed to disable/remove nftables, and make sure iptables is running.

Hello @KNERD
You may download the latest v4 and v5 community edition installation script from here
https://www.astppbilling.org/download
As mentioned in the README.md of repo

Yeah, but the problem is the ones released are using Debian 9 and CentOS 7. Debian 9 is EOL. CentOS 7 is not far behind

Also that v4 is now bugged due to repo changes on the MySQL site

The v5 installation script supporting Debian 10.
The v4 and v5 installation scripts are applied with patch resolving repo changes on the MySQL site.
