Community Edition Updates

I see constant updates advertised for the Enterprise Edition (2 new versions) but nothing for the Community Edition. It’s stuck at version 6.0, and no bug fixes are getting posted. Why is the code not maintained and upgraded by Inextrix? Many open-source contributions and paid modifications or enhancements are never added. I know this for a fact because a feature change I paid for about a year ago was not added either. I understand the need to monetize a product but this could also be achieved by selling add-on modules to the community edition if it was maintained better. Offering ONLY the Enterprise Edition as an upgrade excludes many potential customers.

Out of curiosity, what was the feature change?

At first there was literally only a handful of changes from version 5 to 6 in the Community Version. However, there have been a lot of bug fixes, and updates in the new version 6 since it was released.

Many include supporting the latest PHP 7.4

They actually used to do that in version 3 and lower, but quit doing that in favor of a paid version. I have mentioned many times them they should offer both the paid version and ability to sell the modules again. They seem to refuse to do that, and now they are hurting in sales it seems as Version 7 of enterprise was supposed to be released over a year ago. They came out and said they were lacking the resources to push version 7 now which tells me they are hurting in sales. If they has only listened to me about going back to selling licensed modules. I would have paid for some myself already. At this point I have no interest in the yearly license for the commercial version.

If you take a peek on GiHub you can see some pull requests have been going on. I even did a few myself.

Have you contacted them about this?
