Configuration of multiple freeswitch servers for ASTPP

Thanks for your work for the community.

  1. To install only freeswitch for multiple servers with lb, I assume we will install the astpp fs module and astpp scripts on each freeswitch server. Is this the correct way?

  2. Can severals freeswitch server with astpp fs use only one external db?

  3. What will be the sever specifications to achieve 600cc on a single server? Server will connect to external db. Traffic is wholesale traffic.

Hi @akeko, happy to help.

  1. Yes, your assumption is correct. For a multi-FreeSWITCH setup with load balancing, you install the ASTPP FreeSWITCH module and scripts on each FreeSWITCH server. LB handles the load balancing layer in front of them.

  2. Yes, multiple FreeSWITCH servers can share a single external database.

  3. For 600 concurrent calls on wholesale traffic with an external database, a rough baseline would be 8 CPU, 16GB RAM, and SSD storage. However the actual specifications depend on codec usage, transcoding requirements, and your network configuration. G711 passthrough is significantly lighter than transcoding scenarios.
