Which vars.xml does FreeSwitch on ASTPP use?

Normally, FreeSwitch uses vars.xml located in /usr/local/freeswitch/conf

In the case of ASTPP, such a directory does not exist.

Searching for vars.xml results in a few locations for it.

/usr/share/freeswitch/conf/sbc/vars.xml
/usr/share/freeswitch/conf/insideout/vars.xml
/usr/share/freeswitch/conf/vanilla/vars.xml
/etc/freeswitch/vars.xml

Am I to assume one, or more of these will be auto edited by ASTPP?

I am sure that will be edited by ASTPP. What do we do if we want to add different CODECS with higher bit rates than what aLAW and uLAW provide?

You may set the codec names in the format shared in below link under switch > sip sprofile
